I am grateful to the Salem Ornithological Foundation for the opportunity to intern under them during my summer break before starting college. The experience helped me develop professional skills and grow as a person. I discovered strengths I didn’t know I had and had the chance to upskill. My biggest takeaway was drafting the POSH policy for the organization, which taught me a lot about workplace behavior—an area relevant to my current field, Psychology.
